My name is Michka and I am a 24 year old photographer graduate

from Ecole de Recherche Graphique (ERG) in Brussels

and EINA school of in Barcelona for editorial Design.

I create world and atmosphere trough my picturals works, I also love

building a narrative aspect to my photography, to disturb and to denounce. I find that photography has many different aspects of communication, and it is important to play with this. To research it more precisely and even discover its secrets.

I work mainly with film photography. I find the approach more solemn when the light caresses the photosensitive part of the film. I am always surprised by the result and more enthusiastic about taking photos. This material also plays a part, which is why I play around a lot with lighting effects and double exposures. I also work in editing, and I love exploring different types of bindings and combinations of images. It’s the mix of images and the shape of the book that really makes it unique.
